Where this came from, and what runs it.
The problem we lived
We run short-term rental properties ourselves. Coordinating turnovers meant a stream of WhatsApp voice notes between host and cleaner: what to do, what was missing, whether it actually got done. Over roughly two years that came to 814 voice messages on a single thread, and none of it was a record you could check later.
What we built
Every property becomes a room-by-room routine the cleaner follows on her phone. Each item is confirmed with a photo stamped with GPS and timestamp, so the host gets evidence the turnover happened instead of a promise that it did. It works in Portuguese, English and Spanish, because cleaning teams are not monolingual.
The stack
Cloudflare Workers and D1 for the application, R2 for photo storage, and Workers AI for automatic photo review and translation. Mobile apps for iOS and Android on top of the same codebase.
Where it stands
In production at app.tellmycleaner.com, with 1,042 verification photos captured and stamped across 25 completed cleaning sessions.
